Hey!! What's the story?

What main subject do most of us on the site have in common? Exposure. Don't you agree?

Why not join together and assist each other? My experience is so many are self-indulgent. They wish others to share their news, their events, their works but do nothing in return. Not only is this unfair and quite bluntly, using other people for personal gain, it is very unprofessional.

Now don't get me wrong. I am not pointing fingers at anyone here. It has just been my experience with the majority. I am seeking the minority, those people who will work together.

My offer is simple. If you will share our weekly broadcasts as often as you are able, then we would be pleased to share your news via an ad spot on the show. Our ad spots are rotated so they remain fresh. But they are heard again and again.

If interested, let me know. Only serious professional individuals please. For these type of people deserve the exposure; they know what it takes to be a team and be supportive of others.

Monica, as members of a marketing group, you and I religiously post one another's blurbs. I never fail to do right by all in our group and hope they are playing fair with me as well. While it is true that some or more than some concentrate on their own books and not those of the others, we must continue to do what we believe is right. Let us hope your message here will bring about more cooperation among us and among those who, though not in our marketing group, want to sell their books by helping us sell ours.

Yes Sal, all we can do is be positive and keep doing the right thing. I do appreciate you so very  much.

Monica, from the start of our association with Things That Matter Press, I've cosidered you a dear friend, and after reading your novel the Turn of the Karmic Wheel and loving every word, you've become a dear author of mine as well.

Hi Monica. I'd be very interested in learning more about this. I'm relatively new to the site here but have involved in a similar site where many of the writers were supportive of each other, including providing reviews and comments when appropriate and doing cross-promotion.

Just a side-note. I'm currently at home battling an illness so my replies may be a bit sporadic until things are sorted out. It's nothing too serious, but has knocked me off my feet for a few weeks.

Thanks Preston. We're seeking to cross promote. So send me your promo and we'll get ours to you.

Thanks Monica. What did you have in mind? There's one particular story that I'd like to promote. Should I send you the Amazon link, or something else?

Title Advice?

Posted by Daniel Hale on December 14, 2015 at 18:29 0 Comments

I just completed, as near as I can tell, my first book: a collection stories disguised as a novel. I do currently have a working title that I was initially happy with, BUT it may now be too obscure or inapplicable.

The title as it is now is "The Psalterdemalion." This is a combination of two of my favorite words: Psalter, which is a small book of psalms, and Tatterdemalion, which is a man dressed in multicolored rags and tatters. My thinking was that the man character, a story thief,…

Final Stretch for my First Project

So I've got my stories together for my first collection, and am currently working on the connecting narrative. I haven't even thought yet how I'm gonna get this published. Gotta start thinking what I need to do.

Premonition

Premonition

Mark stood on a sea cliff top. A wave below roared in and sprayed out a ferocious impact. Its retreat left a glistening carpet of foamy shale. To his left, a slender figured girl appeared, dressed only in a skimpy black nightie. Her blonde…
